Has blink removed the awful feature that limits the " live view" option to 30 seconds? there should be no limit. it stops many from buying blink.

There is a limit to the continuous live viewing on the Blink cameras. Currently, you are able to view up to 5 minutes at a time in 30 second intervals. After 5 minutes you would have to initiate a new live view session. We do not have any news to share regarding continuous live viewing on the Blink cameras. However, we value your feedback and will forward this information to the appropriate team at Blink.

Get the wyze v3 with color night vision! You won't regret it! $35 sometimes goes on sale for $30. You can view live whenever and for however long you want. Cam plus is only 1.99 per camera per month....amazing quality! You dont even have to pay for a subscription if you dont want to...without one you can still use live feature and all other features and it will just record 15 seconds when motion, sound, or whatever is detected. Best camera ever. I bought 3 more lol

After 5 minutes, the product will not automatically reload as reported in another review. It knocks you out of the LIVE view and you have to manually start over. Ring allows you to go to live view for as long as you want. There is no cutoff unless your wireless Internet goes down. Ring advises to keep a spare battery. If you do run into a battery that runs low, you will get a warning to charge it. You can swap out the weak one and replace it with your charged spare. Then recharge the weak one at your leisure. If you purchased Blink, take the loss and buy another product. You will be happy and your recordings can be kept automatically instead of you having to SAVE them one by one that Blink puts you through. Every live view is an event in Ring and automatically kept. Uncle Bob,
There is a new technology and they call it rechargeable. Just bc Amazon wants to make money advertising the lithium batteries that last less than a standard Duracell doesn't mean that's what we must have. There are many wireless options that let you watch your daggum kids in the yard wo hitting a button every 18 seconds!! AMAZON, UPDATE THE APP FOR YOUR OUTDOOR CAMERAS SO WE CAN ENJOY EXTENDED LIVE VIEW (1985 kindergarten class had this) AND MAKE MORE MONEY ALREADY! WOW

If you want a "full time live view" camera, shop for ones that are *not* running on batteries. There is simply no way a battery based camera will support hours and hours of streaming day after day. Best guess is that the Blink AA cells will die in under a week if you ran it this way. The math (all a guess ): 2 year rating is at 30 seconds a day video. Two years at 30 seconds is 365 minutes of streaming. That's just over 6 hours .... If the ratings are based on 5 minutes a day, then you would get about 36 hours before those very expensive lithium batteries die.

If amazon is reading these comments - I would love for the cameras to have the ability to watch the live feed with out it being cut off. and having to restart a live feed. I understand why the battery powered cameras have a limit, but I can not understand why this is a limited feature to a corded camera with "unlimited power supply". Had I known this I would not have purchased the camera. I am within my return time period and there are other similarly priced options that have unlimited live feed, may seek other options. see less If amazon is reading these comments - I would love for the cameras to have the ability to watch the live feed with out it being cut off. and having to restart a live feed. So I came up with a solution that may work for some, but not others. It requires using a PC. Download a PC phone emulator like LDPlayer. Save the macro and set it for continuous loops. This will hit Continue up until it boots you out after the 5min or so and then the middle screen click should hit the "Play" button to open the live feed back up. Might be helpful to click multiple times on both spots as if you click once it requires timing it too closely. see less So I came up with a solution that may work for some, but not others. This may be a new feature, if you push and hold the talk button then release, it will not prompt you again. Not sure of the full length it will run since I didn't want to drain the batteries. But this is a work around for the prompt every 30 seconds.

The new indoor cameras are plug in and still do not offer the feature. @Heidi_at_Blink. Why isn't blink offering this? The questions on the internet about this feature go back to the beginning of the company.

I agree there should be no limit. I want continuous view so I can keep an eye on my mother who has dementia from another room. I didn't realize there is no 'live' feed or I wouldn't have bought the Blink system.
